A tale of two covers
Interesting. The French edition of A Gentle Axe, which goes by the title L'Ame Detournee, seems to be available in two different covers:

That's William Thackeray on the first one, isn't it? That could confuse people when they find Dostoevsky characters inside! Or maybe they don't have Thackeray in France.
