So here it is.

I took a photo of my book.

Why did I take a photo of my book? Probably because I realised no one else was going to. Hey, I've never had a book published before. I'm allowed to be excited. I'm sure I'll get over it. One day.

Not any day soon, though.

It's a beautiful cover.

And the teabag is intriguing. Is it cammomile? Or would that be giving too much away?

You're damn right you're allowed to be excited! It looks beautiful, Roger.

Ahhhhh! Isn't it lovely?

And how old is it?

You must be so proud.

Just the one? Lovely. The first one's always special, isn't it?

What's that? No. No, we don't.

No, it's all right. We're not "sensitive" about it. We have been trying for a few years now, but no, not...

Anyway, yes, it's lovely to see yours. You must show us some more pictures soon.

Classy. They've even put one of those ribbon book markers. Love those.

Can' wait to get my copy.

Cheers everybody. Feeling a bit crap today - chest infection, off to bed.

Popped over from Richard Lewis' blog.

You're allowed to be excited.

Jump up and down. Make sqealing noises.

Then make yourself a hot toddy and have a lie down.

I received your postcard today. Thanks for sending it all the way from chilly London--yes, you're quite the marketeer these days. Now I'll be able to forge your signature and sell "signed copies" of your book on Ebay to support myself while writing my own book!

This is beautiful. Now, can't we have just one more...of you holding the book and smiling? Oh, please! ;-)
